July 18, 2025: A wave of bomb hoax emails targeting educational institutions struck both Delhi and Bengaluru today, leading to widespread panic and swift security responses.
In Bengaluru, around 40 private schools—mainly in Rajarajeshwari Nagar and Kengeri—received anonymous emails claiming TNT explosives had been planted on campus and ominously warning, “not a single soul will survive.” All affected schools were evacuated, bomb squads conducted thorough scans, and authorities confirmed the threats were hoaxes.
Meanwhile in Delhi, over 20 schools, including Abhinav Public School (Rohini) and Richmond Global School (Paschim Vihar), reported similar threats. Security teams were swiftly deployed, and no explosives were found. These incidents follow a series of hoax threats this week that have impacted more than 45 schools in the capital alone, with a total of 81 alerts issued so far.
This marks the fourth consecutive day of bomb hoax emails in Delhi, with earlier targeted schools including Navy Children School (Chanakyapuri), CRPF Public School (Dwarka), St. Thomas School, and St. Stephen’s College—all cleared after evacuations and inspections.
Authorities in both Bengaluru and Delhi have launched investigations. Delhi Police are analyzing email origins, while similar probes in Bengaluru continue under the supervision of local police commissioners. No arrests have yet been made, and security officials stress vigilance and the importance of following safety protocols.
